Kinoliste ID (P4981): (delete | history | links | entity usage | logs | discussion)

The homepage kinoliste doesn't exist anymore. Linking to ids of it therefore probably doesn't make sense anymore —FlocciNivis (talk) 23:47, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Anvilaquarius, what do you (as the proposer) think about the further usage of this property? Yellowcard (talk) 15:38, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's a pity the website doesn't exist anymore and the matching work was in vain. It's probably not good enough for the archived versions to be linked forever, but there are some at least: my first search resulted in https://web.archive.org/web/20060207083728/https://www.kinoliste.com/kinoliste/kinoliste.php?kino=214 I don't know about Wikidata policies about such things, so I don't really want to weigh in. --21:49, 19 February 2023 (UTC)

@Anvilaquarius I should have checked the wayback machine first before writting this deletion proposal. In this case, if it's not against Wikidata's policy I'm for keeping the property and adding "https://web.archive.org/web/" at the beginning of the formatter URL --FlocciNivis (talk) 08:21, 20 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Does that make sense? The data in the Wayback Machine will eventually be outdated, for example the number of seats per room. Images are not available. New cinemas will not be added, closed cinemas will not be identified as such. I see that it was a lot of work to add the identifiers, but as the website is offline and it does not look like it will come back again, I assume that the deletion will be the best solution, unfortunately. @Yellowcard As historical data for someone wanting to write an article about one of those cinemas that might be still useful as a source. FlocciNivis (talk) 12:19, 20 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This is a good point, I don't personally see what good it does to delete the property if archived links are avalable.StarTrekker (talk) 20:01, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Keep historic data can be useful. ChristianKl15:59, 26 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
