Motivation[edit]

. Chess.com is the dominant internet resource for Chess information (along with Chess24) and this is how they store profiles on players.

This is different from the Chess.com member ID (P3654) because this is a database of player profiles crafted by the chess.com editorial team while the member ID is just a self-made profile of a player using the service. It also includes people who don't even have a chess.com account

This identifier is currently being used by the template on enwiki en:Template:Chess.com player from which we can harvest the values. BrokenSegue (talk) 00:25, 11 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
