| Planned use | Planned to be used to identify which packages exist in both Wikidata and GNU Guix via a correlation of variable names. Adding this to WD and the QID to the guix package record would ease sharing data between the two projects e.g. synopsis, descriptions, dependencies or licences of software packages. Further down the road this could enable one to create a software repository and for every package with a QID fetch screenshot, logo, etc. from WD to enrich the repository with data not stored in GNU Guix. |

Motivation[edit]
The main motivation is linking data and sharing the peer-reviewed data from GNU Guix to WD. A lot of the packages in GNU Guix are currently missing in WD.
If this property is approved I will suggest more properties to hold the guix-synopsis, guix-description, guix-license and maybe guix-dependencies. Swedebugia (talk) 12:42, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
