Motivation[edit]
"Spiel des Jahres" is one of the best established award for board and card games worldwide. It was established 1979 and games are selected in different categories, since years now in the category Spiel des Jahres (Q1128609), Kennerspiel des Jahres (Q27983243) and Kinderspiel des Jahres (Q2297867). Even if it is a national award for Germany it is wellknown worldwide and seen as one of the most valued awards in the field of board games. The association behind, Spiel des Jahres e.V., has a webpage with a database of all awarded and recommended games since 1979 with annual updates. E.g. in 2022 there were 3 awarded, 6 additionally nominated and 13 recommenended games now available in the database ([1]). In the German Wikipedia one of my running projects is a completion of articles on all of these games (and so also for wikidata they will be complete after finishing this project) Achim Raschka (talk) 08:15, 19 August 2022 (UTC)
