I thought it could be handy to have it possible that when you give a link for a social account, it will automatically break it down, so it will figure out what is the part necessary for the ID, maybe even to identify for what property to assign it too (can be more useful when a site have several properties), and even furthur, to make an analyse on the server-side for some things, like when giving a user link for YouTube, it will find the channel ID for you. - This feels more like a feature request than an RfC. That said can you be more specific about what you want to happen? And where? There are already some tools that do some of this. BrokenSegue (talk) 01:41, 26 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Sorry, is there a place here for features suggestions? I'm just not aware of any such page around here. It was just a raw suggestion - I could think it can be placed at the already-existing section devoted for social accounts at entey's pages. I didn't know of these tools. Good to know. - Regarding the first part of your proposal, you might want to try the gadget identifierInput.js. --Nw520 (talk) 10:22, 26 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Info I propose to close this RfC as improper issue for RfC after 31 January 2024. Please comment if you don’t agree. --Emu (talk) 20:26, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
