AndreCostaWMSE-bot (talk • contribs • new items • new lexemes • SUL • Block log • User rights log • User rights • xtools)
Operator: André Costa (WMSE) (talk • contribs • logs)
Task/s: The function of the bot is to import data about immovable cultural heritage to Wikidata as part of Wikimedia Sverige's Connected Open Heritage Project.
This request is for data about cultural heritage monuments in Colombia from the Wiki Loves Monuments Database.
Code: The bot uses Python and the Pywikibot framework. The code is up on Github: Framework, Specific table processing script. This is the same base as that used by AliciaFagervingWMSE-bot requests for Connected Open Heritage Project imports.
Function details:
The bot processes data from the Wiki Loves Monuments Database, in this case co_(es), about 1000 items. They will all make use of Wiki Loves Monuments ID (P2186) as an identifier (with CO-
prefix).
Below you can see the:
- The mappings: Wikidata:WikiProject WLM/Mapping tables/co_(es)
- An example of how the data is translated into Wikidata properties: Wikidata:WikiProject WLM/Mapping tables/co_(es)/preview
- Matched items which will be updated: Wikidata:WikiProject_WLM/Mapping_tables/co_(es)/matches
Some test edits have been made: Capilla Paéz San Andrés de Pisimbalá (Q42563227), Plaza de Toros Cañaveralejo (Q2894142), Historic Centre of Santa Cruz de Mompox (Q8343767), Hospital San Juan de Dios, Bogota (Q5908591), Q42563239

- Ping to people involved in the mapping/coding or associated with the original data: @Alicia Fagerving (WMSE). / André Costa (WMSE) (talk) 11:15, 3 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
- Support, but you (@André Costa (WMSE):) need to make sure that you're actually using directions (P2795) correctly: looking at an item like Q42706617 and seeing "godogani" for directions tells me nothing about how to get there. Mahir256 (talk) 07:25, 5 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
- @Mahir256: The directions data comes from the data the users have entered as such in the Wikipedia tables. If you see that the values are systematically wrong then I can disable that mapping for a certain country but there will always be individual values that are not as informative as we would want. /André Costa (WMSE) (talk) 13:37, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
