Citationgraph bot 2 (talk • contribs • new items • new lexemes • SUL • Block log • User rights log • User rights • xtools)
Operator: Harej (talk • contribs • logs)
Task/s: Same thing as Citationgraph bot but with Crossref as the source instead of PubMed Central.
Code: doi_to_cites.py, citation_grapher.py, edit_queue.py.
Function details: For more information about the rationale I would refer back to the original request for approval. This reuses most of the same code. The main difference is that it instead draws from an Internet Archive-supplied dump of the Crossref citation corpus, featuring data from publishers released thanks to the efforts of Dario and I4OC. Also I made 16 test edits as a proof of concept. Harej (talk) 00:49, 8 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- Support Looks fine to me. However, you don't have to create an entirely separate bot account for this, you could just do this under the old Citationgraph bot (if that's yours). ArthurPSmith (talk) 13:25, 13 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- Before phab:T198396 is fixed a separate bot account is still useful.--GZWDer (talk) 20:04, 13 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- ArthurPSmith, GZWDer, points taken, but for me the goal of separate bot accounts is so I can more easily keep track of which scripts made which edits. Harej (talk) 21:15, 13 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

- I am planning to approve this bot in a couple of days provided there have been no objections raised.--Ymblanter (talk) 20:11, 15 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
