I've been involved in linked data development and RDF vocabularies engineering from 2001 to 2015. Historical creator of the Linked Open Vocabularies project in 2011, now retired from business, I've been mainly a lurker on WD since many years. I've started to be active recently, with a focus on genealogical data. I've stumbled on a lack of expressivity for things such as marriages. I could of course request for new properties, but after 3 years of retirement, I would gladly put back my vocabulary engineer hat on at the service of this great project. I recommend to first follow and contribute to Wikidata:Property_proposal for a few month. Your input is very welcome! The property creator right is not required to participate. -- JakobVoss (talk) 20:15, 15 August 2018 (UTC)
