- Abstract
As a long-time wikipedian, I'm specially interested to provide up-to-date informations in the articles. When Wikidata started, I regarded it as a strange but wonderful tool to store informations for Wikipedia articles. Step by step, I discovered that the rules are slightly different between a unique multilingual database and a specific encyclopaedic project like Wikipedia in French.
Since the beginning of 2017, after a massive administrative reform, I've been updating Wikidata on the communities of communes in France. Through this experience, I started to discover tools and developed my own queries. I also pointed difficulties for a human with very little technical knowledges to edit Wikidata pages. This is this experience that I want to share with wikidatians.
