Missmatch?[edit]

@Strakhov: I saw that you reverted this with a comment indicating the matching might be faulty. I've paused the bot job but it would be great with some more information about the situation. /André Costa (WMSE) (talk) 15:06, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The data came from es:Anexo:Bienes_de_interés_cultural_de_la_provincia_de_Cádiz wheere it was marked as bic. /André Costa (WMSE) (talk) 15:10, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Is there some pattern which can be used to disentangle the non bic codes from the bic ones? /André Costa (WMSE) (talk) 15:13, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Comment @André Costa (WMSE): Let's see.

  • There are BIC's that do not have BIC code or that cannot be found in that database, though.
This is the iglesia de San Pedro in IAPH's database (we have a "web identifier property": Guía Digital del Patrimonio Cultural de Andalucía ID (P3318), for that church its value is i1488. We have not an ID for the "official" number ("01110060007", we should probably propose a new property). The entry on that church does not indicate a cultural heritage status/protection (unlike this one, for example) so, we can say, at least, it's not a BIC (this church isn't either in the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport (Q3181296) database).
Concluding:
  • Only values starting with "RI" or "ARI" are suitable for "P808"
  • if the code starts with RI or ARI it's probably a BIC, so "P1435->Q23712" is mostly OK.
  • If the code has a "01110060007" form, it may not be a BIC, so claims should not be added to "P808" or "P1435". strakhov (talk) 15:41, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Strakhov: Thanks. Looks like there is a bunch of reverting to do =(
Looks like some of these are ids are actually IGPCV ID (P2473). Do you know the appropriate heritage designation (P1435) for these? /André Costa (WMSE) (talk) 15:57, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Strakhov: I'll restart the Spain upload in a little while. It now only allows uploads with valid BIC id's but please give a shout if you see that it is misbehaving again. /André Costa (WMSE) (talk) 10:07, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Strakhov: Saw that this failed again. Sigh. Stopped the import an will revert the incorrect imports. With 400 of them I might not have time to do them all right now though. /André Costa (WMSE) (talk) 14:39, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@André Costa (WMSE): Well, Spain is different, some people dare to say :). No problem. I've documented here (Wikidata:WikiProject Spain/Cultural heritage) several properties and statuses wrt Spanish cultural heritage. Thanks! strakhov (talk) 14:47, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Wrt that ones, that codes should go to "IGPCV ID (P2473)" and no "cultural heritage status" should be added (unless there were tables or stuff like that ...that provide that data). strakhov (talk) 14:51, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
All reverted now. /André Costa (WMSE) (talk) 11:51, 10 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Strakhov: Third (and final) try starting now. /André Costa (WMSE) (talk) 12:15, 13 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. AFAIK it's alright. I do not agree on adding P31=Q4989906 to these items, and I think something like "heritage designation (P1435)->"Bien de Interés Cultural (Q23712)" qualified with subject has role (P2868) -> "item describing a specific type of BIC in Spain called «Monumento»" would be a better approach wrt this, since monument (Q4989906) refers to "type of structure either explicitly created to commemorate a person or important event, or used for that purpose", kind of loose and ambiguous term that hardly describes what a chapel or a church or a castle or a palace is. But, well, that's secondary. Thanks. strakhov (talk) 16:26, 13 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
