Semitic perfective/imperfective contrast
[edit]What do you think about changing the features pefective and imperfective to performative (Q124351233) and fi'il muḍāri' (Q12230930) respectively? I have been using these on standard Arabic verbs on the justification that some Semitic linguists have pointed out this contrast is more specific than perfective / imperfective in their aspectual+tense meanings, and these items are intended to represent that. Here is an open access paper which explains performatives and their difference from perfectives:

- I'll ask a linguist on Maltese about this. Up to now I've always encountered just perfective and imperfective with regards to Maltese. Mtanti (talk) 17:12, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
