Publication

[edit]

When is a work published or unpublished can differ per country. We have an item for the German definition of publication: publication in German copyright law (Q15852766). A publication (Q732577) is legal handled by publication right (Q1285253) (when not published with permission from the rightholder is is copyright infringement (Q647578)). When a work is published after death of the author, it is a posthumous work (Q17518461). 25 years since publication of previously-unpublished posthumous work (Q29940790) might apply if legal published. gets Important for us is the first legal publication.

National laws

[edit]
  • current national copyright law (we didn't have an item for 'copyright law', we now have copyright act (Q63718677)). We need to add statements (jurisdiction, validity).
  • we have the concept of copyright law in each territoy, and specific laws in each country. Commons also have items Copyright rules by territory, for now we assume that is the concept of copyright law in that country.
  • we have items in wikibooks, wikisource, commons and wikipedia. we need to connect them.
