@Dhx1: Is the "firstly" form correct. Wouldn't "firstly" be derived from another lexical category? — Finn Årup Nielsen (fnielsen) (talk) 12:49, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

firstly is a distinct word, an adverb. There is no form firstly of the noun (!) first. -- IvanP (talk) 12:58, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Dhx1: Also, windsurfer is a noun derived from the verb windsurf (windsurf (L4)), certainly not a form of windsurf. -- IvanP (talk) 13:10, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for correcting! Dhx1 (talk) 12:01, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

„First“ is not a noun, but a numeral

[edit]

„First“ does not seem to be a noun, but a numeral. See the corresponding articles „numeral (linguistics)“ and „part of speech“ on wikipedia.  – The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wolfdietmann (talk • contribs).
