link rot?

Hi all (especially @Dhx1:). I was about to see if I could make a Mix'n'Match set for this, but then discovered that the source link no longer works, and even worse, the main formatter URL no longer works (some of the APIs still do). I wonder if anyone knows where we might find a list of these geohashes? --99of9 (talk) 07:10, 16 August 2023 (UTC)

I suggest this property should perhaps be deleted, as it's not an identifier. It's a 6 character long geohash (+/-610m resolution) that is mapped by the BOM API to the nearest weather station. For example, [1] and [2] both return the same results from station 046126 (Property:P3796) which is named "Tibooburra Airport". There's numerous online tools (e.g. [3]) for translating between WGS84 coordinates and geohashes, as well as numerous open source software libraries in multiple programming languages. Thus one could take the Property:P625 of anything in Australia, create a 6 character long geohash, send it to the BOM API, and find the most local weather information available.
