Use as qualifier[edit]

Is there any objection to removing the property scope constraint (main value) so that this can be used as a qualifier on convicted of (P1399) statements, e.g., on Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu (Q44332)? Ghouston (talk) 04:22, 9 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I also tried it on Zuhal Olcay (Q228567), although there's also a difficulty with quantities (amount of fines, length of prison sentences). Ghouston (talk) 04:59, 9 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ha, I just ran into it again for Hakeem al-Araibi (Q60614359), after completely forgetting the previous instance. Since there were no objections, I'll delete it. Ghouston (talk) 06:21, 12 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, it doesn't work with quantifiers like duration (P2047) of a prison sentence. The problem is that you are trying to add a qualifier to a qualifier, and end up saying instead that the conviction lasts for 10 years, not the penalty. To avoid that, I think you need to make penalty the main item, although you then potentially don't know which conviction it applies to. Ghouston (talk) 06:32, 12 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
