Convert datatype from string to external-id
[edit]- Support conversion to external-id and apply move per MediaWiki_talk:Wikibase-SortedProperties/Archive_1#Chemistry_IDs MrProperLawAndOrder (talk) 15:39, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
- Support, agree. --Epìdosis 17:21, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
- Question is there any reason why it wasn't created as an external-id datatype or why it wasn't modified earlier (Wikidata:Identifier migration/1)? Wostr (talk) 06:01, 6 June 2020 (UTC)
- No unique value, I think. I just added the constraint (as deprecated) and it shows still many violations. --- Jura 04:56, 9 June 2020 (UTC)
- There isn't exactly a 1:1 mapping. Some Pocket Guide entries are for broad classes of chemicals and accordingly there can be a 1:many relationship between a Pocket Guide entry and the set of chemicals covered. But the property is still an external identifier, is it not? Harej (talk) 02:44, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
