It seems that English word "tributary" is also used for rivers that flow into a lake, but numerous languages apparently don't have a equivalent for that. E.g. labels for this property and interwiki links for subject item include "Nebenfluss", "sivujoki", "притоки" etc. that is a watercourse [flowing into another watercourse]. So it seems that reserving P974 for rivers flowing into a river would be a useful distinction. @Infovarius: I meet by chance this discussion when I found Lake Tana (Q116685) with tributary (P974) and this inflows (P200). What does it mean ? Amadalvarez (talk) 16:06, 5 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
