'size' alias[edit]

@DavRosen: re: https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Property:P2610&oldid=prev&diff=466108654, I certainly take your point. The alias 'size' was for searchability: when people who don't know about the property thickness (P2610) search for size properties, they'll see all of the relevant properties like thickness (P2610), height (P2048), length (P2043), width (P2049), and the like. I was hoping to increase the chance a user will choose the right property from among the various 'size' options. Runner1928 (talk) 15:06, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

How about aliases like "length wide", "length high", "length thick", "length deep", "width (dimension)", "height (dimension)", "thickness (dimension)", "depth (dimension)", "dimension of width", "dimension of height", "dimension of thickness", "dimension of depth", "width (size)", "length (size)", "thickness (size)", "depth (size)"? Of course they also have the "see also" statements to find the others. DavRosen (talk) 21:25, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

horizontal depth (P5524)[edit]

We now have horizontal depth (P5524) property, so this property should be reserved for surface/wall/cast thickness. Please help correcting current uses. --Jarekt (talk) 16:30, 17 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
