Numerical IDs

My bot has just imported over 400 IDs from en.Wikipedia. In about a dozen cases (example: Kevin Chong (Q6396015) -> 168867) the canonical ID at GoodReads is all-digits. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 14:55, 19 July 2016 (UTC)

Actually, the identifier is always all digits. The name is just added into the URL link but it never needs to be part of it. 50.53.1.33 11:31, 15 March 2017 (UTC)

Diacritics

Japanese authors having two IDs

It seems like Goodreads has two IDs for Japanese (and possibly other countries which use different writing system) authors, one for their name in the Latin script and another for their name in kanji. – Jeluang Terluang (talk) 18:28, 15 November 2018 (UTC)
