How to use?[edit]

@Gerwoman, Pigsonthewing, Vladimir Alexiev: Opposition to Wikidata:Property proposal/Directory of Open Access Journals ID, now Directory of Open Access Journals ID (P5115), pointed to P3303. On ISSN (P236) it is used, but how can one mark an individual item? For example at International Journal of Molecular Sciences (Q3153277) it says that two ISSN exists in DOAJ ("stated in"), but no use of P3303.

(Moved from Property talk:P3303). P3303 currently has only 2 uses (out of 12k records in DOAJ). As @John_Cummings: wrote in Wikidata:Property_proposal/Directory_of_Open_Access_Journals_ID "we are going to add this property to these items very soon from our spreadsheet automatically. Just finishing off some final Mix n' Match". When all these DOAJ IDs are added, hopefully International Journal of Molecular Sciences (Q3153277) will get its DOAJ ID. "Stated in <DATASET>" doesn't necessarily mean that WD has the particular statement from that dataset.

But @John_Cummings: this could be a useful check after the DOAJ import: that all ISSN statements with qualifier "stated in: DOAJ" do have a DOAJ ID. And vice versa: import every DOAJ record as both DOAJ ID, and as ISSN with qualifier "stated in: DOAJ". --Vladimir Alexiev (talk) 14:18, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Two values[edit]

This property have the "distinct values constraint" (Q21502410) but in the web page you can use two values to access to the magacine, for example this and this. Thanks. --Vanbasten 23 (talk) 21:28, 24 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Single vaue constraint removed[edit]

Per Vanbasten 23, and having looked at DOAJ's metadata download file for journals, the vast majority have two IDs associated with them, one based on ISSN and the other on EISSN. It follows that the vast majority of items should have two P5115s. --Tagishsimon (talk) 04:10, 9 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
