Stated as?
[edit]I missed the property discussion for this. Why aren't we using object named as (P1932) for this, as a qualifier on taxon author (P405) ? Or object stated in reference as (P5997) if the name has been stated in different ways in different references?
That would seem the more generic approach, that would fit better with the structures used elsewhere across the rest of Wikidata, rather than this ad-hoc special property. Jheald (talk) 22:24, 18 February 2019 (UTC)
- The proper author citation include not only a "version" of an author name, but sometimes 2, 3 or more authors, but also year, brackets (but not always, or not for the entire citation), + sometime other things. And in different ways according to the nomenclatures (for plants, zoologie, ect....). Everyone would have liked something so simple. Christian Ferrer (talk) 11:44, 19 February 2019 (UTC)
