@Almondega, Pasleim: The new formatter URL does not work, see e.g. benzene (Q2270). Ideally, it should be taken from

For me it's not working too. The format URL would be:

http://gestis-en.itrust.de/nxt/gateway.dll/gestis_en/$1.xml

I keep getting The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred.

Would it be possible to remove the leading zeros in the items and to add them in the link (if needed) as it is done in en.wikipedia? The ZVG number of benzene is 10060, not 010060. --Leyo 23:35, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

This URL seems indeed to be a bit unstable. I changed it now to the version of enwiki. Before removing the leading zeros, MediaWiki:Gadget-AuthorityControl.js needs to be adjusted, but I don't know how. --Pasleim (talk) 23:45, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

The links are working. If we want to remove the leading zeros, we could use https://tools.wmflabs.org/wikidata-externalid-url/ (@ArthurPSmith:) to add the zeros again in the links. --Pasleim (talk) 13:57, 12 October 2016 (UTC)

@Leyo: I've added support to the wikidata-externalid-url but the formatter URL for this property would need to be updated - the URL that should work is http://tools.wmflabs.org/wikidata-externalid-url/?p=679&url_prefix=http://gestis-en.itrust.de/nxt/gateway.dll?f=id$t=default.htm$vid=gestiseng:sdbeng$id=&id=$1 - that takes 10060 to the right place for example.
