Support for motions and propositions?

Does it make sense to use this property for people or organisations in support of a motion (Q452237) or bill (Q686822)? It seems to be borderline on the scope, but the property isn't really in wide use yet so perhaps we can still widen it to fit? Ainali (talk) 21:04, 6 August 2020 (UTC)

The item closest in its intended meaning is probably moved by (P6939). Then, there are sponsor (P859) and this endorsed by (P8001) with the labels sponsors and endorsed by, respectively. Those exact terms are used at least in US politics, but the properties themselves clearly cater to somewhat more general ideas, and the translations are probably at odds with their use in this context in many cases. --Matthias Winkelmann (talk) 14:26, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
