Nakilahok sa Himagsikan laban sa Kastila sa pamumuno ni Koronel Buenaventura Dimaguila, naging isa sa mga base ng kilusan ng ilang pangkat ng gerilya ni Pangulong Quezon, Fil-American at iba pa laban sa mga Hapon.
