The genus name Roosia is named for Mrs Karen Roos, owner of the Babylonstoren farm and garden in the Drakenstein Valley near Franchhoek. The owners, Mr Koos Bekker and Mrs Karen Roos, in whose employment I am, sponsor my expeditions and research. Also for the flower colour which is rose-pink (Roos = rose). (English)
