He later ran for the U.S. Senate and was defeated by the late Henry Cabot Lodge. A native of Dublin, Ireland, Walsh was found dead over the weekend in his Beacon Street apartment. He leaves a son, Stephen Elliott Walsh, of Lynn. (English)
