Shocking Suicide In Newark. Newark, New Jersey, December 24, 1874. A singular suicide of the sensational sort took place in Newark yesterday. Joseph Lindauer, a man about thirty-six years of age, shot himself through the breast at his residence, No. 201 Plane street. He lived with Mr. Cyrus Hart, whose sister he married about eight months ago. Subsequent to his marriage he became possessed of fits of deep melancholy, but from what cause no one possesses ability to divine. (English)
