Itinayo noong 1732 ng paring Francisco del Rosario, O.F.M., ang simbahan at kumbento ay nayari noong 1760. Nasiraan dahil sa lindol ng 1852 at ng 1937. Ipinaayos ng paring Francisco Teodoro. Ang kasalukuyang simbahan ay itinayo sa pamamahala ng paring Victor R. Serrano at binasbasan ng arsobispo Jaime L. Sin noong ika-31 ng Marso, 1974. (Tagalog)
