Seat of the Revolutionary Assembly, January, 1897. Retaken by the Spaniards, March 28, 1897. Reoccupied by the Filipinos, May 28, 1898, until the establishment of civil government under the Americans, June 11, 1901. Taken by the Japanese, January 1, 1942. Liberated by the Americans, February 4, 1945. (English)
