    Established as a normal school by Act No. 74 of the Philippine Commission. Opened, 1 September 1901, in the Escuela Municipal, Intramuros. Moved, 1902, to the Administration Building, Exposicion Regional de Filipinas, (1895) Padre Faura St., Ermita. First graduates, 1903. Transferred to this building 1912. Converted into a college by Republic Act No. 416, 1949. Macario Naval, first president. (English)
