Lois Lane got shot while covering the war in Umec (which actually stands for Unnamed Middle Eastern Country, because I didn’t want to come up with a fake name, and then the shorthand worked so well I decided to just stick with it and thus avoid ugly comparisons best left to Queen & Country).
