Definition[edit]
This definition is not the original one. If this is meant to be about APC-free (libre) gold OA, I suggest to write so in the main label and description. The alias can then contain the less precise terms like "platinum OA" and "diamond OA". Once a clear definition is used, it's possible to kickstart the usage of this item by applying it to items imported from DOAJ, about 5500 of which should match those conditions.
As for real/original diamond OA, it's a bit harder to classify so there is a risk of original research, but it could be identified as a subset of APC-free (libre) gold OA by filtering for publisher (as a subclass of non-profit or maybe university), software used (needs to be free software) and other properties like product or material produced or service provided (P1056) works copyrighted by authors (Q73362150). I think I wrote a query for that a while ago, it was a bit clunky at the time. Nemo 16:35, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
- Some examples. The copyright agreements information mostly comes from Societies and Open Access Research (Q55822960) so it's still limited in extent. Nemo 19:29, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
