Is there such thing as an aquarium animal?

[edit]

Perhaps a group of animals commonly kept in aquariums as pets? When considering that there are large aquariums with sharks, dolphins, and other large aquatic creatures it would seem that the only few exceptions might be whales. It also seems that the captivity aspect would not necessarily be implied (if that were the definition we were going with) as not all animals commonly kept in aquariums end up in that state.

On the other hand if captivity were implied, it would mean all instances are always captive, even if they were only captive for a portion of their existence.

It may be better to look into using an event of captivity combined with perhaps role. Then this item could be considered a union of animals that at some point had the role of aquarium animal. A separate list of animals commonly kept in aquariums of different type might make use of that information (such as the taxon, common name, location being aquarium, etc..)
