Trains, trams and trolleybuses[edit]

@Airon90: I see now that overhead contact line for railways (Q10547780) is specific to railways, but at least the vast majority of associated Wikipedia articles are about railways, tramways and trolleybuses (including sv) not just the latter two:

  • All: ar, bg, cs, da, de, en, es, eo, et, eu, fa, fr, it, ja, ko, lb, nl, nds, nn, pl, pt, ru, simple, sk, uk, sv, zh
  • Probably intended to be all but too short to be certain: gl, tr
  • Probably all but possibly just railways (google translate not good enough to be certain): th
  • Completely unsure if it's even about the right topic: hy

Accordingly, overhead contact line for railways (Q10547780) is a sub-topic of this not a complement of this and so I'll restore the correct English label. Thryduulf (talk) 10:09, 14 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the Swedish article "sv:Kontaktledning (järnväg) is specificly about "overhead" train power supply, but there is a short note about tramways in the "security"-part of the article. The Swedish article here sv:Kontaktledning is about many kinds of power supply for a wide range of vehicles, mainly "overhead" but also Third rail systems. -- Innocent bystander (talk) 11:20, 14 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
That sounds more like railway electrification system (Q388201) but that item is linked to sv:Elektrifierad järnväg... Thryduulf (talk) 17:43, 14 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The Swedish article sv:Elektrifierad järnväg is also a multi purpose article. It describes overhead line, third rail, but also power supply by electromagnetic induction (Q988780) and not only in trains but also in metro-systems and tramways. Three phase systems and direct current-systems are also discussed. Pinging BIL who I know is good in this subject on svwiki. I know nothing about this subject, all I know is that I live 100 meters from Ådalen Line (Q1799633). -- Innocent bystander (talk) 19:37, 14 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Thryduulf, Innocent bystander: third rail (Q748825) seems likely, at least in London Undergroud we use fourth rail rather than third rail for power supplying (AFAIK nearly all are 630 V DC except very rare small sections which IMHO de minimis (Q287088)), but Q748825 articles are mostly saying both third and fourth rails. --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 14:59, 13 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

PS: Here I give you ideas that how East Asian railway workers separate this concept:

So Innocent, I suggest you to agree me to not say "railway OHLEs" as it's really messed up to me, instead, follow my separation suggestion here. --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 12:11, 28 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
