Is it correct merge?[edit]
@Aiaiaiaiaia: are you sure that ja-article is about "swordsman" (was at Q68327713) and not "fencer" (still at Q13381863)? --Infovarius (talk) 17:26, 8 October 2019 (UTC)
- Yes, the article defines 剣士 as "a user of swords, especially a person who practices a martial art or sport where swords are used, such as kenjutsu (Q249608), kendo (Q170931), iaido (Q214410) or fencing (Q12100)", which certainly covers but is not limited to a fencer. Consisting of two characters 剣 "sword" and 士 "man", the term also happens to correspond with the English word swordsman etymologically. Q13381863 is correctly labeled フェンシング選手, which literally means "fencing participant". --Aiaiaiaiaia (talk) 08:35, 10 October 2019 (UTC)
As a type of occupation for characters[edit]
Why most uses of Q13381863 were changed to this item while those characters do use Q23954892 and not Q12791? Infovarius (talk) 08:16, 10 December 2022 (UTC)
