Revert wars

[edit]

Please stop revert wars @04anotherghost @Lorde McCoy about the description. Personally, I don't see the need to show birth and death dates as there is no danger of confusion with another item. Jklamo (talk) 08:57, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

+1 @Lorde McCoy: Lifedates are usually contained in short descriptions of deceased people in most cases. There is no senseful reason to remove/delete them. Besides edit war, this is a kind of vandalism to remove the dates in nearly every language.
If you dont stop it immediately, you will risk a vandalism report (besides edit warring) and as a result of this a ban. Killerkürbis (talk) 10:30, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Killerkürbis: I'm only removing the date in the descriptions of the articles in Portuguese, because the Lusophone Wikipedia articles don't have the date in the description. If it's to leave it in other languages, that's fine, I don't see a problem. But is it also mandatory that articles in Portuguese have the date? Lorde McCoy (talk) 20:44, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's not the truth: Special:Contributions/Lorde McCoy. In case of Pelé (https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q12897&action=history) you can see, that you removed the lifedates in several languages. If you only removed in pt. I wouldn't have remarked it. Anyway - I said, what I have to say. An edit war or vandalism is not allowed and will come to sanctions.
