Wolfram Language entity code[edit]

Hello @Vincent cloutier: Regarding the value Entity["Language", "French"] for Wolfram Language entity code (P4839): This actually uses an alternate name, the canonical form is Entity["Language", "French::367gk"].

I added some comment on the property talk page. Toni 001 (talk) 06:00, 6 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Toni 001.
I don't disagree that it's not the canonical form. But it is a valid entity code for french. I have an application that needs this info to do conversion from wolfram to wikidata, removing valid codes breaks it. We could propose a different property for the canonical form or for alternate forms if you prefer.
I think it would be more in the style of wikidata if we put the canonical form as the "prefered statement" though Vincent cloutier (talk) 18:05, 6 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Vincent cloutier: Marking the canonical form as preferred sounds good to me. This seems to be what's done with other identifiers, too. Then we could add a single-best-value constraint (Q52060874). Toni 001 (talk) 10:13, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
