[edit]“Glimmerschiefer” is the German word for “mica schist”. Hence its a subset of “schist” which excludes other types of schist such as chlorite schist (Grünschiefer oder Chloritschiefer in German). In German there is the word “Schiefer” which includes rocks that are called “slate” as well as “schist” in English, and in common language even shales often are referred to as “Schiefer” by German native speakers. Hence de:Glimmerschiefer should not be interwikilinked with w:schist, fr:schiste and comparable articles in other languages. Likewise the french word “mica schiste” is not a synonym for “schiste”. --Gretarsson (talk) 12:26, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
