height of smurf[edit]

User:Yair rand, reverted my deletion of smurf height recorded ad 3 apples. My original deletion was due to the fact that "apple" is not a standard measure unit and there are no sources listed. Future research of this important matter revealed this discussion where someone claims that the height comes from French idiom haut comme trois pommes, which probably should not be taken literally. this page also mentions 3 inches and 7.5 inches used in the movie. --Jarekt (talk) 20:32, 18 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Huh, interesting. I've re-removed the statement, since apparently "three apples high" isn't literal. (I don't think the property always requires standard units when the source gives the value in non-standard units, though.) --Yair rand (talk) 23:57, 18 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Smurf or Smurfs[edit]

There are articles in Wikipedia about The Smurfs, but not about a smurf. Should we rename this article and connect it to the articles in Wikipedia?Nienorion (talk) 08:53, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The Smurfs (Q11221) is about the Franchise, smurf (Q15720641) is about a class of fictional characters having (for example) Handy Smurf (Q303432) and Smurfette (Q305405) as instances. They are different concepts and should not be merged. Wikidata items don't need to be connected to Wikipedia articles. - Valentina.Anitnelav (talk) 19:17, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
