Scope[edit]

This item currently mixes organization and building (the latter being Q39364723), and hence needs cleanup (see Wikidata talk:WikiProject Medicine#Hospital: organization vs. building).

Guideline "for organizations use medical organization (Q4287745)" (recently added to description field) adds further confusion. Firstly, this item (Q16917), being a subclass of three separate classes that are all subclasses of organization (Q43229), is also an organization class. Secondly, it's unclear why would we advise against classifying hospitals (type of medical organizations) accurately as hospitals. 2001:7D0:81F7:B580:F87D:974C:EDEB:12D6 13:16, 13 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

As discussed here and there with a series of possibly identical ips (not contributing otherwise), this is for localized facilities. For companies managing, owning the facility or the real estate, please don't use this class. Individual buildings could get separate items .. --- Jura 16:43, 21 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately you didn't contribute much else to previous discussion than baselessly claiming that this item is about group of buildings or "localized facilities". In turn I've explained how description, statements and uses for this item are in contradiction and in wikiproject talk (referred above) more thoroughly how this prevents meaningful classification of Wikidata items. If there actually are some items that are specifically about groups of buildings, then these probably warrant a separate class item "group of hospital buildings". 2001:7D0:81F7:B580:79FA:84CB:15AE:498E 09:21, 22 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
