favipiravir (Q16934561)manufacturer (P176)Fujifilm Toyama Chemical (Q11455887) should be moved to Avignan item (about pharmaceutical product) when it is created and this item should be linked with Avignan using active ingredient in (P3780)/has active ingredient (P3781) relationship. - I think that the statement can stay on the active ingredient. I've created the Avigan item, and filled it with relevant data. --CrystallineLeMonde (talk) 18:28, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
- Chemical compounds (in general) are synthesised by many companies, labs, institutes etc. This compounds is not an exception. It's not a good option to spread this practice to list all such entities on the chemical compounds pages, because it will be another inconsistency in the current system of division between an active substance, a form of an active substance, and a pharmaceutical product. If there is a source that certain person/company invented (first synthesised) this compounds, you can use discoverer or inventor (P61) with a proper source (patent, scientific article etc.). But manufacturer (P176) is not a good option IMHO, just think of an item for a common compound like ethanol, ascorbic acid... Wostr (talk) 19:56, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
