Something strange here: the German Wikipedia confuses Russula rubra and Russula pungens, claiming to base itself on IF/SF. However, these do not bear this out, and accept both as separate species. They do point out that some usage of the name Russula rubra is for what actually is Russula pungens. - Brya (talk) 05:48, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
- This item started out as Russula rubra, but Russula pungens was merged into it. This resulted in a mixed item, from which Russula rubra was edited out. I have now restored the original item concepts. - Brya (talk) 05:37, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
