The name should be spelled "Sas Rigais"

[edit]

The first word in the name of this mountain is in the Ladin language and means "stone". In both the Ladin of Gherdëina and Val Badia, "stone" is spelled "sas" with one s. The spelling "sass" with a double s is not used in any variety of Ladin to my knowledge, and it is not Italian either. I believe that it may have been written by someone who did not know the Ladin spelling and was influenced by the Italian spelling, which uses a double s in the word "sasso".
Therefore, I suggest that the spelling be changed to "Sas Rigais". Asenoner (talk) 20:01, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
