Custom labels for categories[edit]

Florentyna, Hi. Why do you think that using custom labels in such cases (when there is no obvious ambiguity) is a good practice? This is essentially the proper name of the external subject of the Wikipedia which Wikidata describes as is. Unlike non-category items (non-wiki / real-world concepts / any non-proper names), where we can choose more convenient names most of the time. And for the same reason, a mechanism to check for duplicate names is used on a regular basis with categories as we keep their descriptions identical. Adding labels that we find more attractive will definitely not do any good for it and will be a break from the uniformity that both we and Wikipedia adhere to (among other sports in this case).
