Vandalism from India for political purposes[edit]

Editors should beware of vandalism such as this by Aditya 142004 (Aditya is a male Indian name meaning "the sun") snuck in to legitimize the conspiracy theory that Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput was murdered. Since Q193840 was specified on two items relating to Rajput, globally altering Q193840 from asphyxia to "murdered" falsified his cause of death on each—as well as all other Wikidata items that specified asphyxia. References here and here, however, support Rajput's true cause of death as asphyxia due to suicide by hanging. The Indian government's Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is looking into accusations lodged by Rajput's father against the actor's girlfriend and her family of wrongful restraint, wrongful confinement, theft, breach of trust, cheating, and abetment to suicide; and the Indian government's Enforcement Directorate (ED) is examining financial transactions in the case due to Rajput's father's allegations of money laundering. But Rajput's cause of death (asphyxia) and manner of death (suicide by hanging) are well established and not the subject of official investigation at the local, state, or national level.
