instance of (P31)chemical compound (Q11173) is not the correct way to go, even if it fixes some constraint violations (btw this can't be a reason to add incorrect statements, it just shows that the constraints should be fixed). - Thank you. It took a while for me to remember the reason for that edit: it was made during a sidetrack from food-ingredient-related editing -- and after re-checking the item and my memory, I do think that constraint-validation errors were the reason.
- I also intended a meaning more like 'equivalent' instead of 'equal' in the edit's description. Perhaps that was indication that I developed the change in too much haste.
- I'll read some more about wikidata constraints and best practices, and will search again for references to the density of ice (liquid-phase densities are present in the item for water -- solid-phase densities are not). Jay.addison (talk) 17:44, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
