free software
[edit]@TomT0m: you added that it is instance of (P31) free software. Would you mind updating the reference as well ? It would be useful because I was not able to find this in the corresponding enwiki page. Thanks :-) Dachary (talk) 10:21, 23 September 2016 (UTC)
- @Dachary: Looking from the edits, I batch added the statements with wikipedia categories datas through autolist and some category like w:en:Category:Free_software_programmed_in_C - probably found through w:en:Category:Free_software_by_programming_language - I usually use this kind of categories to do this kind of job as they are less messy than usual categories - or one of its subcategories. It's a little weird because looking from the history I don't find the connection at first sight but it's the only explanation as I don't know this sofware. In doubt, I guess we can remove. But the article indicate the service was forked, so ... author TomT0m / talk page 09:31, 24 September 2016 (UTC)
- @TomT0m: Thanks for the detailed explanation. I think it would make sense to remove instance of (P31) free software because it currently is not and there is only a hint (the fork you mention) that it may have been free software in the past. If someone discovers the source code in the future, this can be re-added. Dachary (talk) 09:52, 24 September 2016 (UTC)
- @Dachary: Removed. Actually it seems that the articles talk mainly about the service(s), not about the code anyway. The topic seem actually to be a mess however as it seems the subject of the article seems to have slided over time to talk from a single precise wiki to several forks now - a problem for Wikidata. I wonder if the problem of articles that actually change items over time has been documented :) In Wikidata spirit it seems that there should be several items - one for the original closed wiki and one for the class of its similar services (including itself). Interesting example anyway. author TomT0m / talk page 11:11, 24 September 2016 (UTC)
- Done Interesting case indeed :-) Dachary (talk) 11:32, 24 September 2016 (UTC)

Link
[edit]I remove the link because this is not original Hidden Wiki, but fork (and the link is dead). Original Hidden Wiki is dead. There are many forks, but they all have two disadvantages:
- some have a very small piece of content
- some of them have a censorship (not all the original content is present in the forks)
And, again, this is not Hidden Wiki, this is forks. So, we shouldn't keep link to forks. DartRaiden (talk) 22:31, 18 October 2018 (UTC)
- removed links again, see also en:The Hidden Wiki#Successors -> no official website. -- Johannnes89 (talk) 06:52, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
