Afonso was never king of Castile, was king of Leon and Galicia. The previous king of Leon and Galicia was his grandfather Alfonso VII reason why the numeral that corresponds to him is the VIII, never IX. --Cossue (talk) 15:13, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
