Hi Okkn and Ske,

Right now there is a loop between this item peripheral artery disease (Q378681) and peripheral vascular disease (Q26695607), as we have both:

One of them is obviously wrong but I'm not sure which one. Could you please take a look and correct it?

@VIGNERON, Ske: peripheral vascular disease (Q26695607) is created based on the Disease Ontology (Q5282129) term "peripheral vascular disease". If peripheral vascular disease (Q26695607) is "peripheral vascular disease" in the general meaning, is right because arteries are blood vessels. However, Human Disease Ontology says "peripheral vascular disease" is a obstruction of larger arteries and "arterial occlusive disease" is the synonym for this term. peripheral artery disease (Q378681) is also ambiguous; not all peripheral arterial diseases are "occlusive", but there are functional peripheral artery diseases, too. If so, may be right. But sometimes "peripheral arterial disease" has the same meaning as arteriosclerosis obliterans (Q4797546) (arteriosclerosis obliterans; ASO). So, I have no idea what to do... --Okkn (talk) 14:19, 26 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

According to the MeSH Peripheral Arterial Disease (D058729) is a subclass of Peripheral Vascular Diseases (D016491); that seems sensible to me. I'm afraid that the Disease Ontology is not always very reliable : for sample why did they put the MeSH code Helicobacter Infections (D016481) in peripheral vascular disease (Q26695607) ? Ske (talk)
