Difference with https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q515 is not clear enough for several languages. 145.53.76.181 22:04, 16 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

For my use (in Wisconsin, USA), I’m using the “with a population no more than 20,000” as a maximum on the population of a town, with 2,000 being the minimum. —Hawke666 (talk)

ru-label[edit]

В Q7973798 аналогом town поставлено ПГТ (посёлок городского типа). Может, это адекватное сопоставление? --Infovarius (talk) 18:00, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Адекватное вряд-ли, утверждение "Watford (Q2598) это посёлок городского типа" вряд-ли можно счесть истинным. Но это ложь примерно того же порядка, когда сопоставляют русское "город" и английское "city". — Ivan A. Krestinin (talk) 08:36, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

removal of Q15978299[edit]

I have removed subclass of: municipality with town privileges in the Czech Republic (Q15978299) as not all towns are municipalities at all, and “town privileges” doesn’t necessarily have any meaning in most places. —Hawke666 (talk)

Similarly, please note that not all towns in all countries are designated as administrative units and not all of them are territorial entities with specified borders. So administrative territorial entity (Q56061) shouldn't be added here either. Instead, Q56061 may apply to certain subclasses of this item, like Czech-specific Q15978299 mentioned above. 90.191.81.65 13:45, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

criterion used (P1013) - number of individuals (Q1613416)? --Fractaler (talk) 09:32, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

??? You tend to write illegible stuff here. I don't have the faintest idea, what you want with this meaningless utterance of two items, please write in whole sentences, so that your question becomes a question, not just a useless statement. Sänger (talk) 05:33, 10 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, just in the a talk I'm embarrassed about my pronunciation in English, especially when there is no way to use the language of the Wikidata. I mean, now we have: followed by (P156): city (Q515). And criterion used (P1013). human population (Q33829). What human population (Q33829)? Standards of living of human population (Q33829)? Density of human population (Q33829)? Migration of human population (Q33829)? May be number of individuals (Q1613416)? --Fractaler (talk) 06:17, 10 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
